Falko Outlines Q2 2025 Portfolio Activity
London, 9 July 2025
Falko, a leading aircraft lessor and asset manager focused on the 70-130 seat commercial aircraft market, has provided a summary of its Q2 2025 portfolio activity.
During the quarter, Falko was involved in transactions relating to 22 aircraft and one engine: Falko concluded lease extensions relating to 20 aircraft on lease to five customers located in Asia, Europe and Latin America. Lease extensions were split evenly between Embraer E-Jet and ATR72 aircraft. On the trading side, Falko completed the sale of two E190 aircraft and one CF34-85C engine to two buyers.
As of 30 June 2025, Falko’s managed fleet totalled 211 aircraft leased to 37 customers located worldwide.
Mark Hughes, Falko’s Chief Commercial Officer commented, “The persistent trend of airlines extending leases continued into the second quarter with 20 extensions, bringing the total number of lease extensions in the first half of 2025 to 48. As well as extension volumes being considerably higher than past years, we are also seeing customers commit to both longer lease terms and rising lease rates as they seek to lock-in capacity where there is limited availability for those aircraft types. This is a common theme observed across all jurisdictions and not confined to one region, demonstrating the global nature of the aviation market”. Mark added, “We’re also delighted with the rating upgrade on Falko’s ABS, to A by KBRA. This was the second upgrade since 2023. We see this upgrade both as a testament to Falko’s role as servicer and also the strong market that we are seeing reflected in our portfolio activity.”
