Jeremy Barnes

CEO

Jeremy joined BAE in 1993 to lead its commercial aerospace financing initiatives. Whilst at BAE, Jeremy was responsible for all aspects of corporate finance within the commercial aerospace sector and sat on the Executive Board that oversaw the running of the Asset Management division. During his tenure at BAE, he established a team, the majority of which forms the Senior Team today, and completed a number of airline work outs in South Africa, US, Canada, Australia, UK and Colombia. Jeremy left BAE in 1999 to join XL Capital and in 2001 founded Orbis Capital, a corporate and structured finance company specialising in aircraft and other asset backed transactions. Jeremy led the buy-in of BAE AM business in July 2011.

Martin Brennan

Martin has over 35 years of aerospace and finance experience, having originally joined BAE in 1984. After spells in the Construction and Oil & Gas industries, he re-joined BAE in 1988 in the Commercial Aerospace unit and, over the following 11 years, held senior finance and operational roles in Headquarters, Regional Aircraft, Airbus and Asset Management. He was a founder member of the Asset Management team in 1992 and re-joined that business in 1996, originally in the Finance team and latterly the Corporate Finance team led by Jeremy. In that role he was a key member of the team that structured and placed the $3.4bn Financial Risk Insurance Programme in 1998, a 15 year synthetic securitisation that underwrote the income stream from the then existing portfolio. In 1999, Martin joined Marsh where he developed relationships with and structured insurance solutions for Saab, ATR, Sea Containers and Virgin Rail. Martin re-joined Jeremy as a cofounder of Orbis Capital in 2001 where he completed various transactions and assignments in aerospace, including for BAE and Saab, and in other sectors. In 2011, Martin joined Falko as part of the Management Buy In team.

Mark Hughes

CCO

Mark has over 20 years of structured finance and leasing experience in the aerospace sector having started his career with British Aerospace aircraft leasing business and been part of the initial management team of Waha Capital in Abu Dhabi. He has been involved in all aspects of asset finance and leasing, including acquisition, financing, risk pricing and credit analysis. Mark was a cofounder of Orbis Capital where he spent 10 years working with blue chip aerospace clients and concluded over $3 billion of aircraft-backed transactions covering a broad range of aircraft types from used regional turboprops through to new Boeing 787s. Mark was part of the management buy-in team that created Falko in 2011 when it acquired the regional aircraft leasing business of BAE Systems. Mark’s principal role is the origination and evaluation of aircraft acquisitions, lease placements and trading of aircraft for Falko which has acquired almost 300 regional jets and turboprops in recent years’ worth in excess of $2 billion making Falko one of the world’s most active lessors in the regional space.

Sarah Dichlian

Sarah qualified as a solicitor with DLA Piper and subsequently joined the legal department at BAE Systems. She then became legal director of BAE Regional Aircraft where she was a founding member of BAE Asset Management. Sarah had responsibility for the legal department at BAE AM and also became its commercial director. Sarah was a cofounder of Orbis Capital, where she was responsible for contractual and legal aspects, as well as fulfilling the company secretarial and compliance functions. Sarah was a founder member of the Buy-in Team and is currently the Chief General Counsel for Falko as well as co-owner of the business.

James Greenstreet

EVP

James has over 20 years of corporate and structured finance experience in the aircraft, leasing and insurance industries. Having started his career at Arthur Andersen, Mr. Greenstreet joined BAE in 1995 to work with Jeremy in the corporate finance team. During his time at BAE, James worked on numerous aircraft financing and lease transactions. He has significant experience in airline restructuring and work out situations. James left BAE in 1999 to join Jeremy and his team at XL Capital and then moved on to be a cofounder of Orbis. At Orbis he worked on a number of transactions in the aerospace, asset-backed, consumer finance and insurance sectors. James was a member of the Buy-in Team.

Richard Pitt

SVP Commercial

Richard joined the finance function of BAE AM in 2002, performing a wide variety of roles during his time including financial reporting, risk insurance programme management, insurance mediation and litigation, transactional analysis and project management and latterly management of the mergers and acquisitions process for the sale of the BAE AM business which concluded in 2011 with the formation of Falko. Since then, Richard has supported and managed a broad range of transactions including debt financing and aircraft acquisitions and currently heads up the Commercial function responsible for the management and execution of Falko’s pipeline of transactions (sale, lease and acquisition), maintaining existing portfolio lessee relationships and day to day portfolio/lease management.

John Williamson

SVP Technical

John is a licensed airframe and power plant engineer. He joined BAE, then known as “British Aerospace”, in 1978 and upon completion of a technical apprenticeship transferred to the commercial aircraft side of the business, joining the flight test team at Hatfield in 1983. John joined the customer support business in 1986 and worked overseas (primarily in the US) for 13 years where he held various senior positions. John relocated back to the UK in 1999 and joined the BAE AM Management team. He played a key role in successfully shaping the portfolio to the point at which it could be sold by BAE to the Buy-In Team in July 2011.
